  10. I think Christian has done an excellent job in setting up this benchmark.

  12. I encourage everyone to send their evaluation and criticisms to Christian,
  13. or to the tsql mailing list. Only with the participation of the temporal
  14. database community will this benchmark be comprehensive and complete.

  16. The time frame is quite short. I hope that the first version of this
  17. benchmark is ready by the workshop, to be held June 14-16. Christian has
  18. narrowed the scope of this first version so that it can be completed
  19. within the next 90 days.
  20.  
  21. After getting additional feedback at the workshop, the benchmark should be
  22. expanded to include additional query language features, such as update,
  23. schema evolution, and aggregates. An preliminary deadline for the extended
  24. version would be the end of this calendar year.
